Does it ever seem to anyone else (besides me and my shift mates) that there are patterns at work? I'm in dispatch and some days just seem to be seizures days, DOA days, OD days, bad kid call days, etc. Do you ever have those days where it seems like if so-and-so answers the phone/responds to the call, etc., the person is a goner? If someone gets a bunch of CPR calls in a row, we make jokes about it on the floor to relieve the tension and clear the air. Things like, "Jeez, whatever you do, don't…Continue

We are looking for contributors to our site ... are you one of them?
As EDRS-Support moves into it next year of serving all responders we are looking for 3 very special kinds of contributors: Bloggers, Authors and Post Contributors.
Bloggers: We who are responders know how to speak the language and how it feels to be in the "thick" of things. We invite you to begin to build a blog dealing with the issues you deal with. Dispatchers can write about what you see, hear and feel. Firefighters can share from their personal perspective. Law Enforcement certainly has yet another valuable perspective. Talk about what works for you and what doesn't ... how things make you feel ... tell you stories.
Authors: We are looking for 10 contributors who can write articles that would be of value to responders. If you are Red Cross ... talk about your stories, Salvation Army, Military or Boarder Patrol ... each of us has expertise and knows things that would be valuable for us all to know. Maybe you know someone who has made it through a challenging chapter in their lives and would be willing to share their story to be of encouragement for us all. All we need is one a month... but more are welcome.
Post Contributors: So much information comes across our lives on the internet, news papers, in publications and more that would speak to us all. We welcome you adding those articles to our site. All we ask is that you post where it came from and give clear credit to the publication from which you found it.
For more details on how you can help ... just drop me a line at: david@edrs-support.com.
Suggestions for making this site even better are welcome... interested in being a moderator? Let me know ... send me an e mail.
We help each other is not a motto ... it is a way of life in response work... Our goal for this site ... your site.... is to have more of your participation in making the next year even more fresh and amazing than ever before.
Let's do this together!

I'm an EMT serving my community, and am opening a Blog to connect with people who are in the same/similar line of work. Police, Firefighters, EMS providers, and supporters are invited to connect with me on my page as friends. I feel it is important to not only network, but continually support each other because of the nature of this job. Thanks for the support. Best wishes to all in the community!
